About
Engineering practice, not a biography
I work at the intersection of product and platform: performance, reusable systems, and clear tradeoffs when the business asks for one. This is not a resume. It is what I do, how I think, and what I say no to.
Who I am
I am a senior frontend engineer—currently at Deel, on org chart and adjacent product work. Before that: Mercado Libre, Strike, and full-stack roots. The tenure matters less than a repeated pattern: I care about leaving systems better than I found them, and teaching the why, not just the what.
How I think about engineering
Frontend is the discipline of choice: what to take as a given, where to optimize, which abstraction actually pays for itself. I would rather be explicit with tradeoffs than pious with dogma. If I cannot explain the bet to a PM or a designer, I have not fully understood it yet.
Principles I return to
-
01 Payload, interaction, perception—users do not read your stack; they feel the result.
-
02 Coupling is a contract: you name it and manage it, or it costs you more later.
-
03 Product consistency is not cosmetic—shared systems (design, build, CI) are the abstraction tax that buys speed.
What I specialize in
Web performance, frontend platform work, and product architecture—lighthouse in the field, not only locally; bundles and loading; how UX shows up in traces; reusable foundations; language that lands with product and data, not just engineering.
What I am exploring now
Where large-app frameworks start to creak, how to measure interaction under load without hiding behind acronyms, and when AI in the dev loop is leverage versus a black box. If you are reading this, I would trade notes.
History
Where the practice met production
A concise record of the environments where the philosophy above was pressure-tested. Bullets are outcomes, not a job description.

Field notes
I carry a camera the way I carry a profiler: to notice what is easy to walk past. Same taste for light and constraint shows up in product work.
